AMERICAN OASIS On Tour
Coming to a bookstore near you (if you live in Boston, Phoenix, New Mexico, or Austin)
T-minus five days until launch! Here at American Oasis HQ, the calendar is chock full of interviews (radio, print, vegetable, mineral) and the glorious reviews are starting to roll in. You’ll be hearing from me again next Tuesday, but before then I wanted to share some details about the book tour stops I’ll be making over the next few weeks:
Book Launch on Tuesday, 1/14 — Harvard Book Store in Cambridge, MA, at 7:00 pm with Julia Sklar (Story Editor at Sierra magazine), co-sponsored by Long Now Boston
Thursday, 1/16 — Belmont Books in Belmont, MA, at 7:00 pm with Emily Foxhall (Climate Reporter for the Texas Tribune)
Monday, 1/20 — Poisoned Pen in Scottsdale, AZ, at 7:00 pm with Mark Athitakis (Book Critic and Author of The New Midwest)
Monday, 1/21 — Changing Hands in Phoenix, AZ, at 6:30pm with Wyatt Myskow (Reporter for Inside Climate News)
Thursday, 1/23 — Bookworks in Albuquerque, NM, at 6:00 pm with John Fleck (Writer in Residence at the University of New Mexico’s Utton Transboundary Resources Center), co-sponsored by the Leopold Writing Program
Friday, 1/24 — Collected Works in Santa Fe, NM, with Sara Dant (author of Losing Eden: An Environmental History of the American West)
Tuesday, 1/28 — First Light in Austin, TX (RSVP since space is limited!)
Not only will I be chatting with an array of fascinating writers at these events and signing books, I’ll also have some special, limited edition swag to give out. You won’t want to miss it!
After this first big charge, I’ll be back in Arizona in the spring, first for the Tucson Festival of Books the weekend of March 15th, and then for the Society of Environmental Journalist’s conference in Tempe for the week of April 23rd. There will likely be some more events after that, so watch this space for more announcements.
That’s all for now. If you haven’t already, please preorder American Oasis!
See you on the 14th,
Kyle
Looking forward to meeting you!
